I am experienced in working with and for First Nations in a heritage management capacity but also in helping with respectful engagement on all sorts of non-heritage projects.
Below is a selection of some of the many the projects I have been very privileged to work on. Please reach out to me for a full CV and references.
Musqueam Indian Band
Senior Archaeologist
In my role as Senior Archaeologist at Musqueam, I helped grow the archaeology department from a team of 2 to a team of 13. Together, we were responsible for reviewing and commenting on HCA and Musqueam permit applications, representing Musqueam on various technical tables, ensuring responsible management of Musqueam’s heritage resources, and protecting Musqueam’s title and rights. I also oversaw the development of Musqueam’s capacity to take on consulting archaeology contracts for profit and to become a leading service provider, becoming the preferred archaeological firm for several high-profile clients.
University of British Columbia Faculty of Arts
Special Advisor to the Dean of Arts
Supported and ensured Musqueam engagement on the Faculty of Arts Strategic Plan 2025 - 2030. In this role I facilitated Musqueam engagement, liaised with key Musqueam stakeholders, reviewed draft and final documents, and provided general support for both Musqueam and the strategic plan team. My role was to make sure Musqueam’s voice were heard, respected, and incorporated and to help the Faculty of Arts do this work in a good way.
